The spa

A small spa for regulars

Rhythm is on Congress Street in Portland’s East End. The rooms are quiet, the schedule is short, and your time is waiting when you arrive.

Come for one visit or keep a regular hour. Either way you get a robe, slippers and a locker, and tea in the front room afterward.

The team

Three people you’ll see most

Book with any of them, or let the front desk match you.

  • Dede Collins, owner and esthetician, in a cream wrap smock beside a tall window

    Dede Collins

    Owner and esthetician

    • Esthetician License · ME Lic. 000000

Dede opened Rhythm so regulars could have one steady hour. She does the facials and begins each with a short skin check and a talk about what you use at home. She works Tuesday through Friday.

  • Eyob Tadesse, massage therapist, in an olive polo shirt seated on a stool in a treatment room

    Eyob Tadesse

    Massage therapist

    • Massage Therapist License · ME Lic. 000000

Eyob works with steady, even pressure and asks before he changes it. He sees most members on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and speaks Amharic and English.

  • Cydney Muhammad at the front desk, a basket of rolled towels and eucalyptus on the stone counter beside her

    Cydney Muhammad

    Front desk and member host

Cydney keeps the calendar. She sets up standing times, moves a visit when your week changes, and answers the phone Tuesday through Saturday.

Questions about plans

Can I change the treatment each month?

Yes. Each visit is a 60-minute massage or facial, and you choose again every month.

What if I can’t make a visit?

Tell us at least 24 hours ahead and we’ll move it, or it rolls over once to the next month. A visit missed without a word counts as used.

Can I pause?

Yes, for a month at a time with a week’s notice.

Is there a minimum?

Three months. After that the plan runs month to month, and 7 days’ notice before your next billing date ends it.

How am I billed?

Once a month, on the day you joined, to the card on file. Prices are set by the spa and shown when you join.

Can I come without a plan?

Of course. Book any single treatment from the menu.

Start with one visit

Book a first treatment and decide about a plan afterward, or ask Cydney about plans when you arrive.
